Nancy O'Dell's initial position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time working in Charleston working as a journalist and anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving over to Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor on weekends. Alongside her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
